A-maz-ing Grace! How sweet the sound,

-4    6   -7 6  -7    -6  -8
That saved a wrentch like me.

-7 -8 -7 -8 -7 6    -4   5 6 6 5 -4
I once was lost but now am found,

-4   6     -7 6 -7 -6  6
was blind, but now I see.

2. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
      and grace my fears relieved;
      how precious did that grace appear
      the hour I first believed.

3. Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
      I have already come;
      'tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
      and grace will lead me home.

4. The Lord has promised good to me,
      his word my hope secures;
      he will my shield and portion be,
      as long as life endures.

5. Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
      and mortal life shall cease,
      I shall possess, within the veil,
      a life of joy and peace.

6. When we've been there ten thousand years,
      bright shining as the sun,
      we've no less days to sing God's praise
      than when we first begun.

*It is fun to put emotion into the draws.
I tried it on my A harp & it sounded
pretty good in that key too.

*Did you know that 'Amazing Grace'
is Scottish Gaelic? The words to
"Amazing Grace" were written in the
18th century by John Newton. He was
born in London and after a life which
included being press-ganged into
the navy, flogged and becoming a
skipper of a boat plying the slave
trade, was converted to religion
and became a minister.
He wrote many hymns and this one was
propelled into the pop charts when
a pipe band recorded the tune.
Interesting, eh? (smile)))
